April 29, 2024
WADE’s annual Vision Benefit is a fundraising event highlighting prominent figures within the WADE community. The event features a blend of dance, music, film, and photography, celebrating WADE’s vibrant community and esteemed honorees. It offers attendees the chance to interact with both emerging and established artists, fostering connections and a deeper understanding of WADE’s mission and values. Complete with a curated silent auction and a selection of local food and beverages, WADE’s Vision Benefit is an evening of joy and gathering among artists and community members. Proceeds from the Vision Benefit contribute to WADE's annual operating expenses and support the organization’s educational programming and residencies.
ABOUT THE ALI FORNEY CENTER
The Ali Forney Center was founded in 2002 in memory of Ali Forney, a homeless gender-nonconforming youth who was forced to live on the streets, where they were tragically murdered. Committed to saving the lives of LGBTQ+ and at-risk young people, our mission is to protect them from the harms of homelessness and empower them with the tools needed to live independently.
