Team Building
WADE steers away from the traditional organizational model of hierarchical, top-down leadership. We implement a diverse, women-first, compassionate, and flexible work culture that supports achieving a work-life balance.
We have zero tolerance for discrimination in its numerous forms (racism, ageism, harassment, victimization) and we support the growth of our employees within the company by treating and paying them fairly accordingly to their ability and contribution.
We are a progressive organization interested in challenging the status quo. As such we welcome our employees’ input on important decisions for the company with the understanding of the accountability and responsibility that it entails.
Professional Development
We implement regular paid professional development sessions led by field experts, scholars, and practitioners to ensure our team continues to grow with integrity and intention. These sessions address accessibility practices, anti-racism and anti-oppression frameworks, trauma-informed facilitation, gender-based violence advocacy, restorative and transformative justice models, nonprofit governance, financial literacy, and sustainable arts management.
Professional development at WADE is not an afterthought; it is embedded into our operational structure. We prioritize ongoing learning so that our staff, artists, and collaborators are equipped with the tools to create safer spaces, engage in nuanced dialogue, and lead with accountability. This commitment reflects our belief that the internal health of the organization directly shapes the impact of our external work.
