New York University’s Global Research Institute Research Institutes were created to support NYU full-time faculty and doctoral candidates, based in New York City, who wish to have NYU infrastructural support while conducting research abroad. They are co-located with specific NYU Global Academic Centers, satellite campuses, as well as a standalone research center (NYU Athens).  

This research-in-residence fellowship opportunity offers participants an academic “home.” Each Research Institute draws together a diverse group of NYU faculty and doctoral students. 

Faculty and doctoral student fellows at GRI Research Institutes are given office space, modest administrative support, one round-trip economy ticket from New York to the site (within budget, to be booked through the GRI program), and a flat-rate per-diem subsidy intended to partially defray living costs.
