WADE’s itinerant dance and music festival in collaboration with the City of Agropoli

Presenting Artists: Ananya Chatterjea, Vangeline, Maria Cardone, Piero Leccese, Chowk, and the WADE Young Ensemble

WADE produced and presented an itinerant dance and music festival in collaboration with the City of Agropoli. Titled “A Pilgrimage to the Water'', it will respond to the architecture of the city beginning at the Medieval Village (il Borgo Medievale) and ending at the seafront (Lungo Mare) over six evenings spanning two weeks, along the way inviting the audience to deepen one’s connection with the city and each other. Dance and music artists from the US, Canada, India, Singapore, France, Spain, Germany, Italy and Switzerland will create evocative vignettes of longing, belonging, and growth immersing the community of Agropoli in a dreamscape environment.

- Monday, July 10: Butoh Solo by Vangeline at Porta Bizantina
- Tuesday, July 11: Butoh Group by Vangeline/WADE Young Ensemble at Scaloni
- Wednesday, July 12: Chowk and Urban Improv by Maria Cardone and Piero Leccese/WADE Young Ensemble at Piazzetta degli Innamorati and Scalotti
- Thursday, July 20: ChoreoLab by WADE Young Ensemble at the Hotel Mare
- Friday, July 21: Ananya Chatterjea and WADE Young Ensemble at Hotel Mare with participants from the community of Agropoli
